May 25, 2006Women's Small-Business Loan Project receives its 'largest' check
On May 25, 2006, TMF directors and officers attended the Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary Club meeting where they were presented with a check for $700. The donation was for the women's small-business loan project in Dinsho, Ethiopia. The project has now received a total of $2,000 in donations, the amount needed for the first year of the program, which will officially begin June 1.
TMF extends a special thank-you to Krishna Murthy, a member of the international committee, who has been working on the same type of program in India. Mr. Murthy and Patrick Bols, International Committee Chairman, were strong voices in convincing the club to be a partner with TMF. We are looking forward to a continuing relationship with the Rotary Club.
